How do I reset a parent's password?
Open People → Parents, search for the guardian, then choose Send reset link. The parent receives an email and SMS valid for 24 hours. Admins with the Owner role can also set a temporary password directly from the same panel.
Can I import our existing student records?
Yes. Go to Settings → Import and download the CSV template. SchoolApp validates every row before anything is written, so you will see a preview of errors — duplicate admission numbers, malformed dates, unknown class codes — before committing the import.
How is attendance calculated for half-days?
Half-days count as 0.5 in monthly percentages by default. You can change this under Settings → Attendance → Weighting, where a half-day can be treated as present, absent, or a custom fraction.
Does SchoolApp work offline?
The mobile apps cache the current day's registers and timetable. Teachers can mark attendance without a connection and it syncs automatically when the device is back online. Web features require a connection.
How many staff accounts are included?
Staff accounts are unlimited on every plan. Billing is per enrolled student, so adding teachers, coordinators or office staff never changes your invoice.
Can parents of siblings use one login?
Yes. A guardian account can be linked to any number of students across classes, and the app shows a child switcher at the top of the dashboard.
